ADVICE
Taken as by-catch and in mixed trawl fisheries. Avoid eating immature fish (less than 22cm) and fresh (not previously frozen) fish caught during the summer spawning season (May-July). Red mullet subject to high fishing pressure in Mediterranean fisheries.
